ABOUT ME
My name is Janelle, although I am more commonly known as Smiley or Smidget. I am a neurodiverse Ace Aussie who loves her family, friends, and fandoms. I care about the world around me and try and do what I can to help those in need.

Throughout my life I have struggled to understand myself and the world around me, I have dealt with mental health struggles such as anxiety and depression. It has taken me a long time but I have finally reached a content part of my life and I am very thankful to all those who helped me along the way.
I'm a geek and have been attending conventions and events with celebrities since 2005, through these I have met amazing people, including many actors but most importantly I have made some brilliant lifelong friendships. These experiences and friendships are so much a part of who I am and have helped shape me into the person I am today, and I am so thankful to everyone who has been a part of it.
I love being creative and have dabbled in things from drawing to photography and even some creative writing. I am an abstract artist who loves colours and textures, I am mostly known for my intricate pattern designs. Over the years I have created many artworks be that for fun, friends, or fandoms.
Photography is a great hobby of mine and although I am only an amateur at best I thoroughly enjoy being out in the world and capturing it with my camera, from images of everyday life to adventures within Australia and overseas. Most of my favourite photographs I have taken are of landscapes, airplanes, and animals.
When this website was first started I wanted a place to show off some of my different artworks and photographs, then it morphed into a place to share my different experiences at conventions etc... It still is a place for me to do all of these things, but the main feature of the site is to share my blog and posts not only about convention experiences but other experiences with life. From celebrating events, dealing with grief and other mental health issues, to sharing where I am in life.
Thank you so much for browsing my website and I sincerely hope you have liked what you’ve seen.
