Working from Home

The journey of Working From Home starts. The world has been changing at a rapid rate of late. We are dealing with big changes constantly and as Covid numbers have started getting worse our government has applied Covid restrictions. I know that this is something that everyone across the globe is suffering through. I’m hoping that things get better soon and we can look at returning to normal life, but I don’t think it’s going to be so simple.

As of the 25th March 2020, my work team and I have been working from home. It’s been almost three months now, and it has gotten easier, but there are definitely still struggles. There’s only so much you can do confined to your own home and feeling isolated and alone.

Themed Meetings at Home

When Easter came along in mid-April we had a little Easter theme team meeting, where we wore bunny ears or did something relating to Easter. Like we would had we been in the office working together. Then to makes things a little bit fun, and a little bit easier to deal with during the tough and isolating times. It was decided that we would do themed meetings and the first topic was going to be the alphabet A-Z each letter being a different day.

Unfortunately, I had the first few days off as annual leave so I had to start later on and crammed my A-D all in one day. I had a lot of fun doing this, as I had to go all out and do everything I could. But in doing that I pushed myself to my limit and it became a chore instead of something fun. I still enjoyed it though.
